By bringing the business perspective to a PASS school, the CEO assists
the principal in becoming a stronger leader and manager. The CEO plays
the following role in the PASS program:
- Provide business/private sector perspective on leadership
- Develop mentor relationship with the principal
- Mentor one or more days per month and be available by phone
- Work with the principal to translate the School Improvement
- Plan into a "Business Plan" with benchmarks
- Uphold financial commitment
- Provide additional company resources as appropriate-volunteers
etc
- Serve as an advocate for the principal
Becoming a PASS CEO puts you in company with top Florida business
leaders like Peter S. Rummell (The St. Joe Company), Norman Braman
(Braman Motors), Bob Moss (Centex-Rooney) and Al Weiss (Walt Disney
World). These executives are among the business leaders committed
to helping Florida students succeed - one school at a time.
